Police Chief Steve Perry

Chief Perry began his law enforcement career with the City Glenn Heights Police department in 1996. During his tenure at Glenn Heights, Chief Perry served in the patrol division, as a patrol officer, sergeant, and lieutenant.  He also served in the criminal investigations division, as an investigator and sergeant.



In 2008 Chief Perry joined the Hutchins Police department as the Patrol Lieutenant and in 2015 he was named Police Chief. Chief Perry is committed to professionalism, integrity, honesty, fairness, and compassion. He believes that community should be the cornerstone of policing and is committed to community Policing. Chief Perry is an advocate for building better relationships within the community by setting a positive example and giving back to the community he serves.



Chief Perry is a graduate of the Law Enforcement Management institute at Sam Houston State University, and the Texas FBI command college. Chief Perry is proud to serve the men and women of the Hutchins Police department, and the Hutchins community.
