Hutchins is rapidly becoming a location of choice, attracting major national companies like Chik-fil-A, FedEx, Ground and Union Pacific's Dallas Intermodal Terminal. With ongoing growth, our proximity to downtown Dallas, commercial, retail, industrial, and a host of other economic sectors will continue to expand in the region.

For example, ADESA, North America's premier vehicle auction operator, announced relocated to a 175-acre facility to be built in Hutchins. And FedEx Ground, a leading small-package ground carrier and an operating company of FedEx Corporation, conducted a two-phase expansion in Hutchins. FedEx's distribution hub spans over 720,000 square feet, making it the one of the largest and busiest facilities of its kind. Recently, the package processing capacity was increased from 200,000 to over 230,000 packages per day. To accommodate the growth, FedEx Ground in Hutchins currently employs about 1,600 package handlers and other workers.
