You may pay the citation in full in person, by mail, online or over the phone by entering a plea of guilty or no contest. Please be advised that paying the fine waives your right to a trial and the conviction will be reported to the Department of Public Safety, if applicable.
If you are mailing your plea and payment, it must be paid or postmarked by the 20th calendar day after receiving the citation or your appearance date on the citation.
If you are unable to pay the fine by the appearance date, you may request a payment plan, extension, or court date in person at the Municipal Court office or by mail.
Fine Amounts:
Fine amounts vary with the nature of the offense. The maximum fine amount on most traffic offenses is $200 plus court costs, but violations of some City code provisions may be as much as $2,000 plus court costs. Payment Plans
You may request a payment plan if you cannot pay the total costs in full. Please contact the Court for more information at 972-225-6121 ext. 119.
Partial payments will not be accepted by mail, online, or over the phone unless you are on an established payment plan agreement with the Court.
