Operation Identification is a citizen’s burglary prevention program for use in homes and businesses. The Operation ID program involves the marking of property with an identifying number as a means of discouraging burglary. In communities where it has been properly implemented, Operation ID has shown dramatic results in its ability to reduce burglaries and return property to owners.
Your driver license number and state should be used as your identifying mark on the valuables in which you engrave you driver license number.

The Police Department has purchased three engravers. These engravers will be loaned out at no cost to our citizens so that you can mark you valuables and discourage theft and help Law Enforcement identify stolen property.

On this site residence can upload pictures, receipts of purchase, descriptions, and serial numbers of their valuable for future records.
