The Hutchins Police department is accepting applications for the Hutchins Citizens Police Academy scheduled to begin Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 6:30PM. If you are interested in attending the Hutchins CPA program, please pick up an application at the Police department. The Citizens Police Academy is a fourteen-week program designed to give the public a working knowledge of the Hutchins Police Department. Each session consists of weekly classes that meet at Hutchins Police Headquarters. The instruction is comprehensive; each week different units within the department are covered.
The goal is to educate the public about the Hutchins Police Department and to increase the rapport between citizens and police officers.
We hope the graduates of the Citizens Police Academy become more aware and better informed about how the Police Department operates, and will encourage friends, coworkers and families to join the Hutchins Police Department in this rewarding program.
